Exploring the Effects of Fermented Chitin Nanowhiskers on Tensile and Thermal Properties of Poly(ethylene glycol) modified Polylactic Acid Nanocomposites

چکیده

The incorporation of fermented chitin nanowhiskers (FCHW) into poly(lactic acid) (PLA) increased the tensile modulus and strength PLA at expense ductility. brittleness can be overcome with use plasticizer such as polyethylene glycols (PEG). objective this study is to investigate effect FCHW on thermal properties incorporated PEG (PLA/PEG). PLA/PEG reinforced nanocomposites were prepared using solution mixing technique. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) was used determine while determined from test. successfully ductility modulus. Based properties, 5 phr chosen for further investigation modified PLA.
